What Is Baseball Boyfriend?

It's a lot of fun all summer long. Baseball Boyfriend is a single draftee, fantasy baseball, mini-game. It is an app that can be added to your fantasy teams in CBSSports fantasy baseball. If you are already in a fantasy league, you can find Baseball Boyfriend in their new app market. Baseball Boyfriend doesn't replace your current fantasy baseball experience or simplify it in any way. It's a side game that you can play at the same time.

How Do You Play?

To get started, you will need to first:

  1. Create or join a fantasy baseball league at CBSSports
  2. Draft your team on your league's draft day
  3. Install Baseball Boyfriend from the fantasy sports market

Once you have your fantasy team, you can pick your first Baseball Boyfriend at the start of the 2012 fantasy baseball season. Every time your boyfriend plays, you accumulate points based on his stats for the day.

To help decide who to pick, statistics and status are given along with information as to whether it's a travel day or if he is home or away. You can keep him for along as you like. Maybe he's good for just one game or he's the one that you keep all season long. It's all up to you.

Baseball Boyfriend was designed for people who are already really good at fantasy baseball and for those that would like another way to learn the game. It gives you a second game of chance to play on the side.

Pick Your Player.

In your little black book is a list of possible Baseball Boyfriends. Pick a boyfriend from your current teams' roster.

When you click on a player you will be able to see their year to date stats along with any public notes, others have writen, and private musing that are just for your eyes.

This is also where you dump your ex and pick up a new player. As your CBSSports fantasy team roster changes your options for selecting a new potential boyfriend changes as well.

Now That You've Picked Your Boyfriend.

If he stays past noon, he's your BBBF for the night. You'll earn points based on the player that you've selected to be your boyfriend at noon central time.

How Do You Know If He's Worth It?

On the first day of league play, you'll immediately be able to compete with the other friends in the league that have the Baseball Boyfriend app. Also, you can compete on a global level against everyone. Even if your fantasy team isn't doing well, you can still get bragging rights for having the best BBBF ever.

Baseball Boyfriend Rules

Baseball Boyfriend is a single draftee, fantasy baseball, mini game. You collect points based on your player's stats for the day. Each day, you can pick a new hottie or hang onto your current player. The one with the most points at the end of the season wins.

This isn't your typical fantasy game. We level the stats between pitchers & batters. Then reward the boys when they do something special like, pitch a perfect game, hit for the cycle or hit a grand slam.

Is it better to keep one man all season, or trade every day? It's up to you.

Baseball Boyfriend Season

The Baseball Boyfriend season begins with the regular MLB season on March 28th and ends on October 3rd 2012. Bring your girlfriends and BFFs together for a fun baseball season this summer.

We keep track of these pitching stats: Complete Games, Innings Pitched, Strikes, No Hitters, Strike Outs, Perfect Games, Quality Starts, Saves & Wins.

We keep track of these batting stats: Singles, Doubles, Triples, Home Runs, Runs Batted In, Hits, Stolen Bases, Hit For Cycle & Grand Slam Home Runs.
